Interactivity

New interactivity process

Our process of managing interactivity between connection offers has changed from 14 December 2020

Interactivity arises where we are in receipt of two or more applications that make use of the same part of the distribution network. We utilise an interactivity queue in order to allow all affected parties a fair opportunity to secure the interactive point of connection on our distribution network.

In order to provide a consistent approach across all Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) in the UK, we will now be moving to a conditional interactivity model which will give customers clearly defined time periods in which to accept, with a set end date.

Interactivity process webinar

Our Grid and Primary Programme Manager, Victoria Brown, hosted a webinar to explain this new queue process, how it differs from the old process and the benefits of the new system. If you missed this event, you can still watch the recording below, and the slide pack is available to view here.
