Electricity North West has become the world’s first Carbon Literate power network operator after being awarded the accreditation from The Carbon Literacy Project for our commitment to acting on climate change

The Fair Tax Mark is an independent certification scheme which recognises organisations that demonstrate they are playing the right amount of corporation tax in the right place, at the right time.
AccountAbility’s AA1000 Series of Standards are principles-based standards and frameworks used to demonstrate leadership and performance in accountability, responsibility and sustainability.
Queens Award for Enterprise
Kelvatek, working in conjunction with Electricity North West, achieved a Queen’s Award for Innovation for a smart fuse for use in electricity distribution networks.
ServiceMark is a national standard recognising an organisation's achievement in customer service, and its commitment to upholding those standards.
Accreditation demonstrates that training courses meet national standards for customer service, as independently recognised by the Institute of Customer Service.
Time to Change
In October 2018 we launched a new approach to mental health and signed up to the Time to Change mental health awareness pledge.
ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses, prescribing controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment.
OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognised British standard for occupational health and safety management.
ISO 50001 is the international standard for Energy Management Systems (EnMS) which aims to reduce cost, conserve resources and tackle climate change.
ISO 55001 is a framework for an asset management system which helps to proactively manage the lifecycle of assets, from acquisition to decommission.

Armed Forces Covenant
We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and we have received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). The ERS recognises commitment and support from UK employers who support those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families.

As a signatory of Tomorrow's Engineer Code we have pledged to work collaboratively with others, to inspire and increase the number and diversity of future generations entering engineering.

The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) assesses and benchmarks the environmental, social and governance performance of real asset investments. In 2018, Electricity North West came fourth out of 26 global network companies benchmarked
