Your Customer Engagement Group

An independent customer group, helping to shape Electricity North West's business plans for future investments in the North West.

We are delighted to appoint Jeff Halliwell as our first ever independent customer champion. 

Jeff will establish and chair our new Customer Engagement Group which aims to scrutinise how effective we are at engaging with our customers and if we are prioritising our customers needs on our future plans and delivering what we set out in our current business plan.

Jeff Halliwell is a consumer heavyweight, and currently holds a number of non-executive positions including chair of Heathrow Airport’s Consumer Challenge Board, chair of Anglian Water’ Customer Engagement Forum, and chair of Transport Focus, the  statutory independent consumer watchdog for Britain’s rail, bus, coach and tram passengers, and users of the major road network.

The purpose of the Customer Engagement Group is to be independent from Electricity North West and challenge our actions to ensure that we are deliving our promises across the business to our customers today and in the future.

Jeff Halliwell said: “As it’s a monopoly network operator, it’s vital that Electricity North West’s business plans are driven by its consumers. I look forward to setting up the Customer Engagement Group to scrutinise and report publically on this. My family roots are in Lancashire and I’ve run a number of major consumer businesses in the North West, so I’ve a strong affinity with the region.”
