Ways to go net zero

You and your business can help the North West take a big step on the road to net zero by being more energy efficient. Fitting insulation, changing to LED lighting and buying more energy efficient appliances are just some of the ways you could reduce your energy bills and your carbon footprint.

We want to make going net zero as easy for you as possible. To help you drive down your carbon emissions, we have produced a series of guides and real examples of how we and other businesses are making changes to transition to net zero. On this page you’ll also find information about energy efficiency and low carbon technologies, including electric vehicles and heat pumps and where to go for more information about these.

If you want to install low carbon technologies, such as electric vehicles, solar panels, wind turbines and heat pumps, we also provide guidance on what you need to do to connect them to the electricity network. It’s important that you talk to us first so that we can assess whether the local electricity network has enough capacity to meet your needs.
