Self-determination of PoC

Self-determination of Point of Connection (PoC)

As a National Electricity Registered Scheme (NERS) accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP) you can determine Points of Connection (PoC) for your customers.

This process gives you more freedom to determine how you wish to proceed with a connection. To self-determine your own PoC in our area you will need to request access to our network information and policy library.

Once you have registered your PoC enquiry with us, you can choose whether to complete a network study yourself independently of us, or you can request us to complete this on your behalf.

If your point of connection is over a certain threshold we may check the connection to avoid any adverse impact on the network and other customers. We call this a 'network integrity check'

Check below to see if your connection requires a network integrity check.
