Lancashire network investment
We're delivering the largest ever investment in the North West’s power network, investing over £1bn between 2023 and 2028 – including a programme of key projects across Lancashire.
We're committed to maintaining and improving the network through our capital investment programme
As part of our capital investment programme, we're making major upgrades across Lancashire including the replacement of essential equipment at 11 substations across Blackpool, Preston, Lower Darwen, Rossendale, Lancaster, Tarleton, Nelson, Burscough Bridge and Clitheroe, creating more capacity and ensuring the network is ready for greener technologies like electric vehicles and heating.
We’re working closely with local authorities to ensure the works are carried out safely, reliably and efficiently.
