Armed Forces support
We are a signatory of the Armed forces covenant and proud to be recognised by the Defence Employer Recognition scheme as a Gold Forces Friendly employer.
We value the work our reserve forces make to our communities. Reservist who have worked more than 6 months will be able to take 10 days paid leave each year to attend annual camp training. For reservist that have worked less than 6 months, you will be able to take 5 days leave. Further information is included in our special leave policy. We have a number of colleague networks that provide support and community to our colleagues. We have over 70 veterans at SP Electricity North West; our Armed forces colleague resource group provides significant support not only to our existing armed forces community, but also for those transitioning from an Armed forces career to a civilian career.
This group meets on a quarterly basis and is instrumental in helping the business in their continued support for our Armed forces community.
