United Springs - Low Voltage Maintenance

In March 2014, our Construction and Maintenance engineers visited United Springs to carry out some inspection work on their low voltage equipment. We provided a quote for the work needed, but also notified United Springs that they would need to carry out further maintenance work on their high voltage equipment. Due to our recommendations, we were able to carry out maintenance on both sets of equipment on the same day, which reduced disruption to day-to-day production at United Springs, keeping costs to a minimum.

Salford Royal Hospital - Fault Repair

In December 2013, a major fault occurred on the High Voltage system at Salford Royal NHS Foundation. Our 24 hour response teams visited the site within an hour to assess the cable damage and we installed specialist fault finding equipment to locate the fault. We returned a day later to excavate the cable and repair it, to ensure that normal supply was restored as quickly as possible.

GJ Distillers - Super low loss transformer

In 2012, we identified that there was a problem with one of two electricity transformers at GJ Distillers. As a result, we carried out a load survey, to understand the amount of electricity flowing through the company’s private network. We recommended introducing a new Super Low Loss Transformer, which would not only fix the problem, but also result in considerable energy savings for the company. We carried out the installation without any interruption to normal supply and GJ Distillers have since received much lower energy bills.
