Bright sparks

Our Bright Sparks education programme delivers KS2 and KS3 electricity and safety learning whether at one of our workshops or through our online resources.

We are committed to inspiring the next generation of employees and support the development of science, technology, engineering and mathematical (STEM) subjects.

Our Bright Sparks programme looks to spark children's curiosity about the world around them and looks at ways in which electricity works in their everyday lives. The programme aims to develop children's understanding about electricity, from building electrical circuits, why saving electricity is important, and how to do so and ensuring safety around electrical objects and using electricity safely.

Our Bright Sparks programme has originally been delivered in classrooms across the North West to over 4,000 pupils in partnership with Greater Manchester and Cumbria STEM. We are now excited to offer an online version of the programme with each lesson designed to build the pupil’s knowledge of electricity, starting with the basics of electricity safety and sustainability, to building their own circuit using different components, before discovering the properties of conductors and insulators. The four lesson plans include educator notes, worksheets and supporting slides.
