These include changes in lighting, appliances, processes and transport, as well as installing renewable or low-carbon electricity generation. Energy Networks Association (ENA)

The ENA is the voice of the energy networks, representing the ‘wires and pipes’ transmission and distribution network operators for gas and electricity in the UK and Ireland. Visit their website or see their smarter networks video series.

Energy Storage Operators' forum

The Energy Storage Operators Forum (ESOF) was established in May 2012 as a forum to facilitate sharing of experiences between member DNOs. This paper is a summary of the electrical energy storage installations connected to GB distribution networks by GB distribution network operators (DNOs):
