For commercial and industrial connections

Man wiring

At Electricity North West, we pride ourselves on providing you with a reliable and trusted service.

This page gives you information on applying for a new connection to larger commercial and industrial premises where a three phase supply (greater than 60 Kva) is required or generator connections that exceed 16 amps per phase.

  • We care about our customers and are committed to giving you the information you need about connecting to our network.
  • We can provide budget estimates, and formal quotations on request.

Please see our common charging methodology document if you would like more information about the breakdown of costs.

Competition in connections

When we give you a formal quotation, we need to emphasise the importance of competition in connections so we show you the parts of our quote that could be provided by an independent connections provider, and the parts that can only be done by us (the contestable and non-contestable elements).

It’s important that we and independent connections providers give you this information as part of our responsibility to promote competition and provide you with choice.

Please be aware we do not carry out any works within your property.

Questions relating to your internal wiring or consumer unit must be directed to a qualified electrician.
