15/05/14: Powerful dash to raise money for cancer charity

Staff from regional power network operator, Electricity North West, are putting their best foot forward to raise money for corporate charity, The Christie. The Christie

More than £5,000 so far has been raised by 15 employees who are gearing up to run 10k at the Great Manchester Run this Sunday.

Jonathan Collins, corporate social responsibility manager for Electricity North West, said: “We’re delighted to have raised this great amount for The Christie and we’re pleased that we can support them in the amazing work that they do.

“I’m extremely proud of my colleagues that are taking part in the run on Sunday and the dedication and energy they have put into raising money for one of Europe’s most important charities, right here in our region.”

The Christie, based in south Manchester, has been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over a century and treats more than 40,000 patients each year.
