01/05/13: Blackburn power cut – latest information

Last night power was successfully restored to the remaining 200 homes and businesses in Blackburn following a high voltage fault at 5.30pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 30th April).

Electricity North West are sorry for the inconvenience caused and our engineers will be working to repair the underground cable fault as quickly as possible.

We would still like to ask our customers in Blackburn to conserve their electricity where possible to help reduce the electricity load on the network whilst we carry out repairs. You can help to conserve power by avoiding or minimising the use of washing machines, dishwashers, heaters, power showers and other high power appliances.
